The great thing about blogging is that you can just ramble on and talk about just about anything for no reason. So, this blog is all about random thoughts. I am in a NCAA pool on ESPN.com with a couple of friends. I had made three brackets and they were first second and third after the second round. Sense then, they had gone bust and I no have no chance of winning. Oh well. It was fun, I really enjoy college basketball and this season was particularly nice as the Cougars of WSU did pretty well. It was a nice change of pace from the usually bottom of the pac-10. Next year should also be great for Cougar basketball as all of our starters are returning. I took Liam to two games and he had a blast. Next year I will take Asa as well, he is obsessed with basketball. In fact, I told him that I play basketball at lunch and he put together in his head that I am at work at lunch, so I must play basketball for my job. ViviAnne tells me that around lunch time he would put on his coat and shoes and start saying "basketball, daddy, work", over and over again. ViviAnne finally called me in the middle of the day and had me tell him that I don't play basketball all day at work. It was pretty funny. I came home that night and asked him, "What does daddy do for work?". He said, "basketball!". Hilarious!
It is my intent over the next couple of days to take some pictures of our house and post them here for your viewing pleasure. It will be nice to watch home the home stead develops over the years. I am looking forward to it. I found out that my grandfather is going to come up for a visit in July, so I am pretty excited about that.
I started smoking a pipe. Mainly because my good friend Andy gave me a pipe, but also because it is different. I don't do it to often, maybe once a month on average with friends, but I am determined to turn our bonus room above the garage into a smoking friendly room. I am thinking about putting pine tongue and grove up for the walls and ceiling and having a nice shag carpet, something really thick and dark. I think I will stain the pine a darkish cherry. I have been looking online at different smoking tobaccos that I might enjoy. I have found a couple but haven't bought anything yet. There is a local store that I want to check out first.
